SYD FIELD PARADIGM
The Syd Field paradigm is a basic structure for creating/ writing a screenplay. It breaks a movie into 3 major sections, the set-up, confrontation and the resolution.
The Syd field paradigm is widely used by film makers, as combined with a sound story line it generally helps produce a watchable movie. This is because by following this structure it ensure there is a build in the journey of the characters and the story itself unfold clearly to the audience.
This structure created by Syd Field and has had a huge impact on the film industry because (as mentione
d earlier it is still used frequently) by film makers and is the structure behind many of the some of the most successful films such as Star Wars: The New Hope (1977).
Here is our first try at applying the Syd Field paradigm structure to our screen play or our film 'The Investigation' (2016).
